Prospective workshop and tutorial organizers are invited to submit a proposal via the main conference’s submission system PaperPlaza.
Workshop/Tutorial
Workshops and tutorials should focus on key areas of active research and provide a forum for participants to share new ideas and discuss recent results. We encourage proposals on topics with substantial community interest, aiming for a creative and innovative workshop or tutorial program that will attract a broad audience. Workshops and tutorials that emphasize academia-industry partnerships and technology transfer in robotics research are welcome. The primary selection criteria are anticipated level of interest, impact, novelty or creativity, and opportunities for networking among participants.
Workshop and tutorial proposals should include the following information
- Title
- Format (indicate full of half day, workshop or tutorial)
- Main organizer (One person only; complete affiliation, mailing address, phone, and email)
- Co-organizers (complete affiliations, mailing addresses, and email addresses)
- Previous editions (if any)
- Statement of objectives
- Intended audience
- List of speakers and topics
- Plan to Stimulate Participation
- Statement of inclusion, diversity and equity
- Workshop Organization
- Important Dates
- Acknowledgements (if any)
- Required In-Room Equipment
Proposal template
Proposals should be prepared using this template.
Upon approval, workshop and tutorial organizers will be asked to create and maintain a dedicated workshop or tutorial webpage to share important information and promote participation. Organizers will also be required to provide, before the event, a workshop or tutorial abstract (letter size, one page) for inclusion in the RO-MAN 2026 handout.
The workshops and tutorials are tentatively scheduled for August 24(Mon) or 28(Thu), 2026.
